RIP Alan Rickman

“… I must away… “

My heart is so heavy with the loss of this man and his voice. I have seen Alan in a few different movies, but for me he will always be Colonel Brandon. He was the perfect choice for bringing that particular Jane Austen character to life… May light perpetual shine upon him, and may his dear ones know that many souls are praying tonight.

“… A Grief Observed…”

Grief is such a human thing – such a big part of our human existence. We all only travel on this trip around the sun a finite number of times, and we must learn to love those we’re on this ride with in the seasons of life we have together…

Love never fails…

In time and in eternity… Love endures… and it is Love that we are here to know. When the Scriptures tell us, “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” (1 John 4:7-8) – they are speaking very plainly.

Love never fails…

May we all live in this Love with each other as we sleep beneath this moon  — there are only so many sunsets to learn how…

PS   Here’s is a wonderful playlist of Alan Rickman’s readings – for those days when you just need to hear his voice one more time…  Alan Rickman Reads
