Quick Check In…

I haven’t really had the chance to keep this little corner up to date on everything going on in life right now. It’s been a busy term at OSM, and we’re already coming up on Finals next week. I’m anxious – surprise, surprise – but it will all be over before I know it, and then I’ll have about a month off until classes start again for Fall term. During that time I’ll be attending the training sessions to become a hospice volunteer (not the same thing as NODA, which I’m still doing), and the timing for the training couldn’t be better. I’m really looking forward to seeing where all these new adventures take me…

Since I don’t seem to have as much time for blogging as I’d like — much of my writing time is spent on papers for classes now — I’m considering putting up shorter posts on a more regular basis… maybe even from my phone. In the time that’s passed since my last post, I’ve had a variety of “highs and lows” in life that I haven’t even had the chance to mention — for example the passing of my Grandma, another miscarriage, and my nephew’s first birthday — but I think I want this corner to be able to hold a record of moments like those, even without the “amount” of words that I usually consider a requirement for posting.

So, I’m going to try to put up a picture and at least a few words regularly — if not every day, at least a few times a week. We’ll see what happens… “the best laid plans of mice and men” and all… Between writing for work and writing for classes, I don’t want to lose the words that are just for me. I need them to help me process life in all this busyness of living it!
